welcome back, sorry about your train

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2011.01.06

Today was my first day commuting back into the city center. Needless to say, my train didn't come and I wound up waiting 25 minutes.

On the plus side, I got to chat with a fellow commuter who has a *very* long commute: she's coming into the city centre from distant Welland every day. Hard to believe, but there are people doing it!

Maybe Metrolinx should stop posting their train schedules. They're fictional, yet as a work of fiction they neither entertain nor educate and quite frankly serve no purpose.

But all is well. Falafel for lunch saw to that.

rand()m quote

Some people talk about living every day like it might be their last. Maybe that's good advice. Carpe diem and all that. But perhaps it's better to try to live every day like it might be everyone's last. If there are people in your life who are important to you, let them know...
