green is a noun, sunny is a verb

In the Japanese language, "green" is a noun. And "sunny" is a .. verb?

To translate the verb for "sunny" back to English we'd need a concept like "it's raining" for the sunny condition: "the sun is shining" complete with future tenses etc. My teacher's sample sentence translated: "tomorrow the sun will be shining, I think". But the direct translation is "tomorrow, (verb for being sunny), I think."
