the new mashams
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Some seven-eight months ago, our friends the Mashams moved away to Barcelona. At last, their apartment is once again occupied.
With more gaijin. Passing their building, I spotted a foreign couple standing on the balcony of what had been the Mashams place. I called up to them, confirmed that they'd just moved in, and told them "welcome". I mentioned that I'd known the previous tenants, and the fellow guessed, "were they foreign, too?"
Three good things that happened today:
1. got back into the swing of working on the business
2. our intern came up with some more really good work
3. we got some usable translation work done (at last)
