Another new city

twenty-seven years and one million words
And suddenly we're in tropical China. And we made it by the skin of our teeth.
Packing for an overseas wedding with a small child is not an easy task, and we wound up going over time. And so despite a taxi getting us to the station in record time, we were late, late, late. Two minutes before the train was due to depart, we still didn't even have tickets!
I don't think that anyone has caught the Narita express in Shinagawa with less time to spare. We literally got to the platform some fifteen seconds before the train's doors closed.
And now we're here. We arrived too late to see much of anything, but it seems that our hotel is much more in the thick of things than I'd imagined. Hooray!
I hope my fish will be okay.
