Now I've ridden in maglev trains on two continents. The thing was surprisingly smooth until 300kph, at which point it was no quite so smooth. But fun!

Made it to the hotel in only two goes for the taxi driver, which is not bad given that we had a common vocabulary of zero words. We're on a mission to find an address and/or map of the neighbourhood with Chinese text.
