on business and busy-ness
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
It's hard to imagine that I've got myself simultaneously involved in two start-ups, but that's how things have turned out. This week I got involved with a lot of interesting things.
Really, it's been a bit hectic, including:
+ meeting with a marketing pro who's going to help us get the jewelry business on the right track
+ a discussion with an old friend who's also a successful entrepreneur on raising investment funds
+ creating a business proposal for the consulting business that I think was both succinct and attractive
+ preparing a crucial presentation, again for the consulting business (been doing this every single week, of late!)
+ managing a round of test with end users going over our the shop front for the jewelry business
+ worked with a designer on a ring sizer (a crucial hand-out) for the jewelry business
I also did some pencil-sketch work with my partner on an absolutely excellent software "hand-out" that is so good it's practically evil. Yes, some of our competition is going to learn to hate us (and that software).
