back to the museum

Today we went to the Edo museum. It's one of the better ones I've seen anywhere in the world.
I'm not a big museum-goer, but the Edo museum in Tokyo is very well done. With sprawling models of the city, interesting displays, and a minimum of dry collections of artifacts, the museum concentrates on depictions of the way people lived during different times in Tokyo's past. There isn't a lot of English text to be found, though there is enough to explain the broad strokes of what you're seeing with any given model, recreation or diagram. I recommend that visitors to Tokyo see this museum if they have the time and/or the weather forces them indoors.
Kenny slept through the whole thing, for which we were grateful.
