movie review - Knocked Up

I honestly have no idea what all the buzz is about with this thing. It's about a couple who have a one-night stand with the result that the woman is pregnant. The dialog is stiff, the characters are unlikable, there's no chemistry between the leads, and the male is so obnoxious and such a loser I just can't see the female lead having anything to do with him. I'll take it a step further: this feels like it was written by someone who as met humans but doesn't understand them.
Avoid.
