I get by with a little help...
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Today at the daycare, The Boy ran to greet his friend Ma-chan (four years old). The two of them always get along very well, and stick together like two peas in a pod. Ma-chan knew that it was time for The Boy to go through the door into his classroom (where Ma-chan's sister Akari-chan had already gone). So Ma-chan dutifully took The Boy to the door, opened the door, and pushed The Boy through. The Boy complied completely, going without complaint and greeting his teacher at the door with an affectionate touch to the cheek. No fussing at all!
