japanese is trending upwards

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Tokyo, 2009.03.06

I've been asked by my Japanese language school to write a short blurb on their behalf. I didn't really know what to write, because I've felt completely swamped by the whole thing.

But now I know!

I went to my barber today, and we had our first real conversation. I was able to talk about the crumbling banking system, the horrible trouble that the "Big Three" auto manufacturers have gotten themselves into, and the fact that a nearby condo building is still not sold out after two and a half years and a $200,000 mark-down on the asking price of $600,000. All in Japanese.

It's a self-writing appraisal! 8)
