The Satoi family came for a visit today. Kenny was all over the place, delighted as ever when there are older children about.

Tonight at bath time Kenny had a chance to play with one of the gifts presented by the visitors. It was a bath-time book that changes appearance when you immerse it in water. On every page of the book the air-temperature image disappears and a new one appears.

It's really amazing what they can up with these days.

Ken was intrigued by the thing, of course, and kept poking at it with a puzzled look on his young face. He'd babble some questions at me, but I didn't have any explanation for him beyond, "it's ... ah, thermal."
