Japanese balloons

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Tokyo, 2009.02.08

The balloons we got Kenny at his birthday party are still going strong, two weeks after the actual party. Fully bouyant and as plumply round as they day they arrived. It's amazing what they can do these days.

Ken, for his part, is demonstrating more complex understanding of his toys. He's gone beyond simply knocking down the tower toy, and is now able to stack the pieces -- something that never occurred to him when we bought it.

Come to mention it, the tower toy has been a hit with each and every child that's spotted it. For anyone in Tokyo looking for a good toy for 1-6 year olds, it's from Combi and is called the "Smile Labo" Tokyo Tower.
