movie review - The Simpsons Movie

twenty-seven years and one million words

So it's come to this. After nearly twenty years we have a Simpsons movie. And I have to say it's not great. Loosely based on the same humor as the show, it's pretty inconsistent and has a bizarre reliance on silly gags that only the worst of the series uses. The plot revolves around Springfield being domed-up by the EPA because of the horrendous pollution coming from the city. This is of course Homer's fault, and the city comes from him when it's (quickly) figured out. They escape and it continues in that vein for a while.
Not recommended.
