weather report
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
The weather in the city has been completely bizarre recently. For one thing, this winter has been much colder than last, and there have been some days when the fingers take an hour to normalize after I arrive in the morning with them all swollen and red and stinging. But then there are a number of two- or three-day breaks when the temperature suddenly jumps by 5-10 degrees.
Reminds me, in fact, of the continental climate I left behind. Not at all what I've gotten used to, here by the warm western Pacific, but at the same time nowhere near as cold as "the old country". Mercifully.
