laundry mistakes

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Tokyo, 2008.06.16

I got home from the gym on Sunday and stepped into the shower. Mari, meanwhile, decided that my shorts needed washing and threw them into the wash. As a result, my paper membership card for the gym was destroyed.

Shoganai.

Then I got to the office this morning and found that I'd left one of my SD cards in my shirt pocket. Looks like I let that get washed, too!

I'm becoming a lazy, degenerate husband.

rand()m quote

Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality against which they are dashed to pieces.

—Sigmund Freud
