weather report

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Tokyo, 2008.03.13

The weather's certainly changed. Yesterday was a warm one, and it brought out all of the folk who put away their bikes in winter. What was, from November until yesterday, a largely empty bicycle parking garage was absolutely packed, today. I'd say that at least fifty more people are suddenly riding to work.

As far as I'm concerned, having more people on their bikes is a good thing -- prepares the drivers for the sight of bicyclists!

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.

—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
