another flat

Two weeks ago I was greeted had a flat tire while heading out to do some errands. Tonight while dodging the late traffic in the tsukiji fish market I hit a deep pot hole and blew my rear tube. That makes twice in a very short time.
I've now replaced as many spare tires in a single month as I ever had in a year. I guess there is a lot of stuff on the roads, here. Or perhaps my tires are thinner.
Regardless, my hands were filthy by the time the (rear) tire was replaced. Though I have to say it took only about 12-15 minutes despite having to find an out-of-the-way spot, and then performing the job in darkness.
