movie review - Bourne Supremacy
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
Toronto, 2006.01.02
This is a worthy successor to the Bourne Identity, which is a rare enough thing for any sequel, but all the more so given that this one was written without the participation of the late author of the original story.
It picks up the story of the refugee couple that was doing all of the running in the first story, and throws into the mix new layers of corruption and CIA machinations. It maintains the same taught style as the original, and if anything ups the sometimes overwhelming desperation and violence.
Recommended.
