what a day
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
I spent pretty much the entire day on the road, running around doing errands. In all, I think I clocked 3.5 hours just on my bike, getting new clothes for the trip, retrieving my "kid's" hockey bag from the storage facility, getting a haircut, getting prescriptions filled... etc. My girlfriend came with me for a substantial bit of the cycling parts with her newly-tuned bike, and I showed her my commute route so that she knows how to get downtown with a minimum of street traffic interference.
Naturally, the temperature was hovering around 30C the entire time. I suppose it's better than racing around town in the middle of an ice storm, as I had to do when looking for an apartment in Halifax. But it still wasn't ideal.
It was in the evening when I finally got to relax a bit. My girlfriend and I went to "Mad Monty's" and met with Geoff C for a drink.
