Girlfriend in the park

Today, after the usual money-spending-spree, my girlfriend and I took a blanket and sat in the park to read. It was cool and blustery (and this is late May!). The park was also plagued by small bands of teenagers that roamed the fringes of the park and shot bottlerockets at one another. Which can be a bit disconcerting until you remember the old adage, "it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye - then it's a sport". So we had fun. Unfortunately we were not smart enough to bring booze. Duh!
Also, while shopping for a book for Jon, I managed to pick one up for myself. So now I'm back to reading three books at once. Sigh.
