Tonight we went to see "Vera Drake" at the Regent cinema on Mt. Pleasant. It's one of those hold-over cinemas, built 80 years ago and sparsely attended by a mostly older crowd. I'd been there before to see an equally 'small' film (that one was 'Wings of Migration') and on both occasions there were fewer than 30 people in the seats. I don't know how it stays in business, but I'm glad the place is there. It adds to the overall excellence of Mt. Pleasant Rd as a place where you can find everything.
