twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2005.02.03

Here are some things I've been listening to, of late. Having all my CD's on MP3 finally means I can actually listen to stuff while I'm working without shuffling around looking for what I want. I realize that MP3 is lossy, but so was the audio cassette tape, and we used that for years cos we had no choice. Anyway.

Sweet Emotion, Aerosmith

Big Country, Talking Heads

Brick Windows, Ministry

Sinnerman, Nina Simone

Let's Get Retarded, Black Eyed Peas

Hangover, Max Webster

I Wanna Be Your Dog, Iggy Pop

I'm Bored, Iggy Pop

Boots or Hearts, Tragically Hip

The Hardest Button to Button, White Stripes

Lost Johnny, Motorhead

Fuck the Pain Away, Peaches

Sundown, Gordon Lightfoot

Whole Lotta Rosie, AC/DC

Twist in my Sobriety, Tinita Tikaram

Hot on the Heels of Love, Throbbing Gristle

Gel, COllective Soul

Groove is in the Heart, Deee Lite

rand()m quote

Immature poets imitate mature poets steal bad poets deface what they take and good poets make it into something better or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique utterly different than that from which it is torn the bad poet throws it into something which has no cohesion. A good poet will usually borrow from authors remote in time or alien in language or diverse in interest.

—T.S. Eliot
