SEA program

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2005.01.14

I've decided not to pursue the self-employment program with the HRSDC. The timing was not right, given that Bell now says they want me back for some more work. The work would have come right in the middle of the training phase, which would have been problematic to say the least.

It looks like I'll have to source a laptop for my next stint with Bell. Been thinking about the IBM T42, a couple of the Fujitsu models, an Acer, and even a Compaq. From my research, I've heard too many complaints about Dell's spotty quality and abysmal support, so I'm ruling them out entirely.

rand()m quote

It may be that when we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go we have come to our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.
