Bell Mobility is big leggy

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2004.10.19

Today was my last day on the job at Bell Mobility. At lunch, the open aread downstairs from the main entrance - adjacent to the rather excellent cafeteria - was the scene of a Fall Fair. You could get cotton candy and throw rings at pegs for prizes and what have you. It must have been the fourth or fifth event of one kind or another to have occurred in that space during my 3.5 weeks there. I dunno much about Bell Mobility as an employer, but it seems like such things are appreciated - certainly the participation level was high at today's thing.

I had some kind of pork stirfry for lunch, which was good and cheap. I only bring it up because everything I've had there - the Carribean curry 'salad' thing, the roast beef, the Thai dish.... Always something new and good. Fresh food, well prepared, really makes a difference. Certainly after eight months of limited food court fare, it's been hella-good.

Another amusing thing - there are so many people working there that the men's room is pretty high volume. Today I encountered something I never have in a men's room - the guy in the next stall fell asleep! He was snoring, and not particularly quietly.
