george bush and his fart catchers

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Halifax, 2004.06.26

I saw "Fahrenheit 9/11" with Charlie today. It was an enraging film.

I'd thought that Bush was a self-serving maniac, but I hadn't realized what a basket case he really is. There is one scene where he's shooting skeet: he misses, and petulantly turns to his flunkies and says "Did I hear a 'nice shot'?" Someone obligingly says, "nice shot" between catching farts.

A lot of people lose the spirit of childhood. Every child has a lot of imagination and you lose it little by little. I don't know why, but I kept it.
