twenty-eight years and a million words

Halifax, 2004.01.20

Amusingly, there were only two of us at Tai Chi tonight. The weather has gotten a bit colder again (I was prepared), but I was still surprised that this was the case.

We went through some more complex moves. We've covered something like 12 moves in three classes. I'm getting a little wobbly, as a result (despite the practise at home).

Later, I remembered my crack on Thursday about how the class size kept falling by 1/2 every time. Maybe next time it will just be me and the instructor. At which point, they'll likely call off the program!

rand()m quote

The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love, and in order to occupy and distract himself without love he gives way to passions and coarse pleasures, and sinks to bestiality in his vices, all from continual lying to other men and to himself.

—Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
