and another new job

twenty-seven years and one million words
My first day on the new job. It was all orientation and an introduction to various corporate concepts. We were given a copy of the company's "values", which included such concepts as "integrity" and "employee development" and "continuous improvement". To these had just been added a sixth: "improving shareholder return". Is that a "value"? I don't know.
I do know that the head of the branch cites the Bible as his favourite book, and "moderation in war is imbecility" as his favourite quote. Also, I know that the team is very, very busy.
