twenty-seven years and one million words

Today my mum and I went shopping for a gift for my girlfriend.

She (my mum) took me to a funky place somewhere in the eastern end of the city that specializes in (mostly wooden) stuff from the far east. It's called Kuda. Check out their website; their stuff is beautiful. Anyway, I picked up a medicine box for my "Auntie" Laurie (despite her insistence that she wanted nothing) and a great mirror frame for my girlfriend.

I also managed to show the place, yet again. Everyone who sees the place in the daylight - as I first did - seems as impressed as I was when I first saw it. I don't think I'm going to wind up paying for the place for the full four months left on my lease.
