lost credit card turned up

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2003.12.19

Today I had to go back to the computer shop where I'd picked up my PC to retrieve my credit card.

I've never left the damn thing somewhere before, but in this case I think it happened because I was paying for the PC in part with the credit card and in part with Interac.

I'd had to get my Interac limit increased yesterday at a busy little bank at Bathurst and Lawrence, which is a very Jewish neighbourhood. I found myself smiling at my surrounds while in the line - there must have been half a dozen women in there who were just like Kyle's mum from "South Park".

rand()m quote

Capitalist production, therefore, only develops the techniques and the degree of combination of the social process of production by simultaneously undermining the original sources of all wealth – the soil and the worker.

—Karl Marx
