an odd trip to Ottawa

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-eight years and a million words

Toronto, 2003.11.04

The lady is heading off for Ottawa on a strangely uncoordinated jaunt for work. She and a coworker are to rent cars and make the trip separately, rather than flying. She's not even sure how long she'll be up there. Employers can be strange.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.

—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
