mixed day with a job interview

Had a rather good day, today.
It started with the news that my favourite mayoral candidate has risen to tie for the lead in the polls. I've never voted in a municipal vote, before, and it's a new experience to care about such things. But after years of Mel Lastman, I care. Oh yes.
Then I was able to bail out the g/f when she got stuck (for reasons too tiresome to get into) with a car rental this morning. Now I've got 'brownie points'. Just in time for our trip to Halifax, too.
And to top it off, I wound up at a job interview that went rather well. A permanent gig, at that. I'm pleased and hope it leads somewhere.
