nice crisp air

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2003.09.25

Autumn officially started on the weekend, and it's getting cold. I needed to shut the window last night, and it's all been coat weather for sure. And damn windy. The only real problem I have with Canada is the short Summers and long Winters.

But I like the crisp air at this time of year almost as much as the warmth of Summer, and a light coat's nothing to complain about. I even have a plan for the upcoming period without an income - not a cunning plan, but a solid one.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.
