sparrows, so many sparrows
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
I've noticed this summer that there seem to be a hell of a lot of sparrows around. I don't know if it's due to weather conditions being good, or if West Nile is playing a part, but every little patch of grass in the city seems to be teeming with the buggers.
I mention West Nile because the sparrows are apparently carriers, unlike the other bird species which are all dropping like flies. I have to stop writing journal entries about flies.
I have a third date with the blackout girl coming up tonight.
