The job search is picking up steam (an expression that in itself is pretty ridiculous, but one that I think I've used before in exactly the same circumstances in this very journal thing). Anyway, now that I'm back in Toronto, and now that it's January again (a good month for the IT world, when budgets are fresh and vacationing management somewhat more rare) there are real jobs leads and I can pursue them with the aid of such tricks as contacting people that I have worked with in the past that are now at those locations. This was impossible in Vancouver and Calgary, where I'd been searching in the first 2/3 of this last year. I'm currently working on three leads of this type. Huzzah.
