I met with Charlie and Chako for 'brunch' today (at a Thai place). Chako seems happy, but is faced with the prospect of returning to Japan soon unless she can find a way to stay in Canada legally. I'm going to ask my uncle - who held a senior position with Canada's immigration department - for some advice on her behalf.
