my life's in storage, again

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Vancouver, 2002.08.30

So, my stuff's all back in storage. Every time I dump it all into some box in a warehouse, I have the impression I'll never see any of it again. And yet, aside from a few inherited things, the thought of losing all that stuff never seems to bother me as much as it might.

rand()m quote

Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality against which they are dashed to pieces.

—Sigmund Freud
