leaving to find work in Calgary

I talked briefly with my landlord today about potentially leaving this place in July. It's a depressing thought, but the time has clearly come. He told me that I would be the third person in the building to leave the city for Calgary to find work. What's wrong with Vancouver? I suggest we blame whats-his-nose, the premier.
Needless to say, we also talked about soccer, since he's Croatian. He's very keen on Croatia's chances in the world cup. He seemed so enthused I was going to ask whether he'd played when younger, but he had to go deal with the two tweedles-dee that have been tinkering with the elevator for the last six weeks. Apparently, they've stated that their repairs might not be complete for another three weeks or more. Incredible.
