movie review - Panic
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
This is an interesting American flick featuring William H. Macy as a professional killer. He's unhappy in his marriage and his job (where he carries on the family business), and life in general. When he goes to see a shrink, everything decays in a hurry. The movie is done with such nice pacing, veracity, and consistency that you really feel the proverbial noose tightening on Macy as the thing winds down.
I'd never heard of this flick before spotting it in the rental outfit, but with Neve Campbell, John Ritter, Donald Sutherland, and Tracey Ullman, I figured it couldn't miss. I wasn't disappointed.
Recommended.
