marathon interview and a tackling on the street

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Seattle, 2002.05.10

Now *that* was an interviewing session. I met with 14 people over seven hours. My brain was pretty numb by the end. Didn't stop me from finding a fantastic Mexican restaurant way out at the end of 1st Street. Easily the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico. I'll dig up the name when I get around to it. (note from 2002/06/07: It's called Jalisco's)

On odd thing that happened was that a drunken homeless fellow tried to tackle me on the street. I was having an IBS moment and in some distress and simply clocked the fellow on the side of the head as he tried the tackle. That dissuaded him.

All in, quite a day.
