can't develop black and white film in Calgary FFS

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Calgary, 2002.05.01

Today, I tried to have a roll of TMAX 100 B + W film developed at the London Drugs. They assured me that it would cost $20, take two weeks, and have to be sent to Edmonton. Now I have to try to find somewhere else in the city to do it; at the London Drugs they suggested that no one in city develops black and white film. Outrageous! (Watch it prove to be true).

rand()m quote

Immature poets imitate mature poets steal bad poets deface what they take and good poets make it into something better or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique utterly different than that from which it is torn the bad poet throws it into something which has no cohesion. A good poet will usually borrow from authors remote in time or alien in language or diverse in interest.
