Saw a telling bit of news last night. Canadians have responded to the Sep. 11 attacks by flying less and using the trains more (ridership is up 20% on inter-city rail, and it was up 75% after the attacks). Americans have responded by buying handguns. One of the manufacturers did $8 million in business in the first month after the attacks.
