movie review - The Others

This is a ghost story, set in the English Channel island of Jersey in the post-war era. It's about a woman (played by Nicole Kidman) and her two small children, and their growing realization that their mansion is haunted. It's a well-done piece, and better than I'd expected. There are even a couple of genuinely scary bits! Though slow (and did I mention English) it's original and engaging.
