breaking into my own storage unit

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2001.07.09

Met with a fellow from a moving outfit, today. He took me over to my storage unit to have a look at my things, with the idea of estimating the cost of the move. Of course, I'd left my keys and Ken and Heidi's place on the weekend, so I had to have them break my lock. The girl behind the counter couldn't do it, so I got to use the bolt cutters. Interesting experience.

No matter; got a good quote, and I'm happy.

rand()m quote

A civilization is a heritage of beliefs, customs, and knowledge slowly accumulated in the course of centuries, elements difficult at times to justify by logic, but justifying themselves as paths when they lead somewhere, since they open up for man his inner distance.

—Antoine de Saint-Exupery
