one month on my own

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2001.06.15

Rented a car and headed up to the cottage. It's on a finger of water called Sturgeon Bay that is the south-eastern-most portion of Lake Huron's enormous Georgian Bay. Came up with mum. She'll be returning tomorrow with the car.

Today is the fifteenth. I've been on my own for a month now. Haven't slept in a bed in that entire time. Still don't know what I'm doing with myself, either.

rand()m quote

You have to choose between trusting to the natural stability of gold and the natural stability of the honesty and intelligence of the members of the Government. And, with due respect for these gentlemen, I advise you, as long as the Capitalist system lasts, to vote for gold.

—George Bernard Shaw
