rollerblading is kinda fun

I tried rollerblading for the first time, today. Jo, Emma, and I met with Jo's friend Angela, who showed us where to go for skates, and where to skate them. The rental shop had skates that fit my US size 15 feet! It was actually a lot of fun. I was pretty wobbly, of course, but I managed not to knock out any teeth (or even to fall down once). We took about 45 minutes getting down the coast (the others were graceful and taking even strides; the best I could manage was toddling, I think), then turned around. At first I was pretty shaky, but once I imagined myself holding a pair of cross-country skies, it all fell into place. We may try again during our visit.
After the rollerblading, we regrouped at one monochromatic bar (a blue one), then on to a place called the Melbourne Wine Bar. If you're ever in Melbourne, I suggest you try it. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Then we headed back up to Chapel street, and hit another monochromatic bar (this one orange).
We were celebrating the success of Sara's presentation. According to all the company people present, everything went swimmingly.
