the night before Xmas, and the day itself

twenty-seven years and one million words
Did a lot of driving, today. Raced down to St. Catharines to visit my grandmothers. That was good. I haven't seen Yvonne in a year! Then up to Bobcaygeon via Toronto, to spend the night at Sara's parents' place. The weather (and road conditions) were good for most of the way, but fell apart as usual as we approached Bobcaygeon. Then we hit blowing ice crystals, lotsa wind, and it seemed that the few drivers on the road all had some agenda/axe-to-grind/an illegally high blood alcohol level.
We've hit three effing snow storms on the road, so far this month. Anyway, we got in at around 11 PM, in -16oC weather. Up here, it's always like this. Cold and crisp.
Sara was with me for Christmas eve for the first time. That was great. She missed out on her family's Christmas eve, but what can you do.
