movie review - High Fidelity

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Sydney, 2000.09.18

This movie is about a fellow (Cusack), who runs a music shop with two equally able and elitist staff. The movie is about his inability to function, whether as a partner to his girlfriend, as a business man, or just being honest with himself. It follows his disasterous relationship with his girlfriend, and digs into his past relationships as well.

The movie is studded with funny scenes, and Black (a Canadian) steals several scenes.

Recommended.
