movie review - The Whole Nine Yards

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Sydney, 2000.05.19

Set and filmed mostly in Montreal, this is a Hollywood movie about joe average, a dentist with an unpleasant wife and a lot of debt, and the mob hit-man who move in next door. I couldn't sit through it, it was that bad. Willis is wasted, Perry struggles gamely, but the stupid plot just smothers everything. It aims for hip and funny, it gets puerile and kinda boring.

Not recommended.
