foggy Alice

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Alice Springs, 2000.10.28

Today we arrived in Alice Springs, after another couple of days on the road heading from Melbourne to Adelaide. Adelaide seemed pretty sleepy, but that was fine with the travelling moose!

The weather in Alice was - get this - foggy. Foggy, in the famously dry, hot, and red Australian outback. I thought we'd been flown to Queensland!

My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was less competition there.
