Despite all the setbacks, we sorted out the car business, and Sara's now driving a brand new 2000 New Beetle. It's blue, and it has a leatherette interior and heated seats. Hence, warm leatherette. We're calling it Miranda. I liked the name cos it's the largest moon of Uranus, and was from a Shakespear book. Sara likes it cos it's the name of a character from Sex in the City (God help me).

Our Visa applications have hit a snag. Seems that we need 1) to explain why we didn't apply before we turned 26 2) that we have sufficient funds, and 3) that Australia would benefit culturally from our visit. Pretty bizarre, but we're getting on it.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
